It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on here. But I did a fun art project today and decided to post instructions for it on here. It was super easy and would be a great project to do with kids. So here it is, how to make your own stickers.
Here is what you will need:
Drawing paper (I recommend thinner paper for this)
Markers and/or colored pencils
A sheet of wax paper
Packaging tape
Scissors
Step 1: Take your drawing paper and draw whatever designs on it you want for your stickers. It might be easiest to draw with a regular pencil first and then color your designs in with markers or colored pencils. You can also outline your designs with a black marker to make them stand out more. Be creative and make whatever you want. You can do your name in bubble letters, simple designs such as hearts and stars or even seasonal designs for holidays, such as pumpkins, Easter eggs or a Christmas tree.
Step 2: Take a pair of scissors and cut out your designs.
Step 3: Take your sheet of wax paper and completely cover it with packaging tape, sticky side down. It’s important to completely cover the whole sheet so you don’t have any peek a boos of wax paper showing.
Step 4: Put your cut out designs on top on the wax paper and cover them completely with packaging tape.
Step 5: Flatten the packaging tape over the designs to avoid air bubbles. A rolling pin or just your hands works for this step.
Step 6: Cut out your designs and you’ve got homemade stickers. Peel them off the wax paper when you’re ready to use them.
I honestly couldn’t believe how simple this project was and how easily the stickers peeled off the wax paper at the end. I think this would be great for making greeting cards or any other art project you want to use stickers for.
Happy Creating!
